In the world, it’s easy for us to question our identities and who we are. We try to fit in and be like everyone else, but the truth is – We are not! Who you are is wrapped up in one Person only, and His name is Jesus. As you read through this plan, I pray that you would find your true self – the one that God created you to be.

Throughout the history of the Bible, the men and women were plagued by what I like to call the silent but deadly trio.  In today’s world, it is no different for us. Everywhere we turn, we are plagued by temptations that “nibble” at our fleshly desires, but the good news is we have been given the remedy to combat the enemy and his tactics.

In the beginning, a shadow crept over creation. Cloaked in cunning, an Enemy whispered an invitation to disaster that left a trail of sin, fear, and death. Though crushed, in his death throes, the Enemy continually assaults us. Every day, Christ-followers engage in an invisible war. This is a call to awaken, arm, and stand firm against a relentless enemy led by the King whose light no shadow will overcome.

If you were to define ‘the greatest evil,’ you might think of murder, child abuse, or human trafficking. C.S. Lewis mentions something else: pride. He considers this the ultimate rebellion against God, from which all other sins spring. In this reading plan, we want to explore what the Bible says about pride and which consequences pride has for our lives.

This plan will dive headlong into the deep thoughts that have inspired Christians for centuries. We'll get at the assumptions behind the creeds and delve into territory unexplored by most Christians.

Jesus said that we will know the truth, and the truth will set us free (John 8:31-32). Yet our enemy, the devil, is bent on twisting God’s truth in his all-out efforts to "steal, kill, and destroy" (John 10:10). The epistle of Jude exhorts us to contend for truth.
