Matthew writes to God’s people and walks them on a journey that will take them from where they are to being Disciple Makers.  This is the 6th of 27 devotional plans walking us through the book of Matthew.  Jesus describes the three disciplines of His Kingdom rules.  The three disciplines of Giving, Praying and Fasting are laid out for us.  We also begin the “Do’s and Don’ts” of Kingdom living. 

The four Gospels are filled with demands from Jesus. These demands are Jesus’ way of showing us who He is and what He expects of us. They are not harsh demands originating from a selfish desire to control but loving directions for our good and ultimate satisfaction. This Bible study will guide you through some of these demands, with the ultimate end of glorifying God through obedience to His Son.

For many heaven is only a future a destination. In reality, heaven is not so far away or so abstract. Many famous songs and hymns are inspired by people going through extreme trials. They believed that heaven was more than a destination, it was embracing the fact that the promise of heaven was something that could and should be embraced in the now.
