Jesus promised his followers that they never had to walk in fear because He overcame the worst this world could bring against them. Over the course of 11 days, we will examine Romans 5-8 to better understand how following Jesus Christ enables us to live free from fear, failure, demands, and death itself.

Even though the offer of freedom is available to all, many still live in bondage. The key to unlocking your freedom is the forgiveness that Jesus has already won for you. Bring all of your sin, your guilt, and your shame to Jesus and experience this gift of grace in your life. A forgiven person is a forgiving person. So come. Be free.

Jesus invites you into a new and better way of life, but it's a paradoxical realm that turns human logic upside down. It's a life where sorrow leads to joy, brokenness to health, and suffering to glory. This devotion is an introduction to the Beatitudes that Jesus shared in His famous Sermon on the Mount. Jesus says: “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” (John 8:31-32). That sounds good, since freedom is something we are all looking for! This reading plan introduces twelve types of freedom that can all be found in Jesus.

“Sin” is a key concept in the Bible. Sin is rebellion against God, be it in words, deeds, or desires. It destroys the relationship between God and humans and also has disastrous consequences for people’s relationship with each other and with their natural environment. This reading plan covers some key Bible verses about sin’s origins, its essence, its consequences, and God’s solution for the problem of human sin.

Is our life progressively changing after encountering Christ? How can we build assets that last beyond life? How can we radiate joy, contentment, and peace in all situations?
