If you need help with your physics homework, you probably won't go and ask an English tutor. If you need assistance with a history project, the last person you would go and ask would be an accountant. They would be the last place you'd expect to find answers and help, but what if you didn't have a choice and those were the only people you could go to? The situations we find ourselves in can leave us feeling hopeless. If we're not careful, we might miss out on finding hope in some unexpected places.

In the Bible, it says that God enlightens us to see hope in places we wouldn't expect. The fact that God can open our eyes to unexpected sources of hope reassures us that God knows us. God wants to surprise us when we've lost the motivation to hope again. Expecting the unexpected will give us the opportunity to see Jesus work in incredibly big ways.
