Spiritual warfare is a relevant subject for all Christians. The problem is that many people are fascinated by it, and others ignore it. In the following Reading plan, there are some practical guidelines.

Life keeps us running so fast and frenzied that we often lose sight of each day’s holy potential. Today’s choices shape the legacy you leave for future generations. Building a legacy through your “only one life” is not a calling for the elite few. It is a calling for you—as a woman with unique capacity to shape the future through your faith, family, gifts, and leadership. This devotional is adapted from the book, Only One Life: How a Woman’s Every Day Shapes an Eternal Legacy, by Jackie Green and Lauren Green McAfee. 

You may have heard many times that real Christians don’t live with deep longings or feel unsatisfied. But Jesus doesn’t shield us from the ongoing consequences of human rebellion against him. And he wants us to live in anticipation of his full redemption of creation. We are promised good things when we live unsatisfied, hungry and thirsty for righteousness, and I invite you on a journey to explore those blessings. 

Holy Spirit says: “Breathe deeply, my dear one. Breathe in sweetness and hope. Breathe in newness and the clean air I bring.” He’s always with us and longs to carry, guide and tend to you. This plan invites you to remember what is true and equips you to encounter God as you set aside the ways of this world in favor of what lasts.

Little things matter. As we have seen around the globe in recent months, one microscopic virus can spread to infect hundreds of thousands of people. This is how our enemy works. He works to spread a virus of fear, hopelessness and panic. But I have come to declare victory over the virus! We are not doomed to defeat.

Evangelism: the very word strikes fear into the hearts of many ordinary Christians. We often might have a legalistic sense of duty to do it; but isn't evangelism just for those unusual people who are gifted at it? This plan seeks to reclaim evangelism as the sharing of good news that can be delightful rather than daunting!
