Matthew’s Gospel opens the New Testament by brilliantly introducing the culmination of the entire Old Testament story. After thousands of years and dozens of generations, Jesus had come “to save his people from their sins” (Mathew 1:21). Matthew focuses on Jesus as King of Kings, who had come to reign on the throne of David forever.

Whether you've been attending church since you were a kid or are brand new to this Jesus thing, you probably have some ideas about what it takes to grow spiritually—but you might have some questions, too. In this 4-week devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we'll look to some stories of Jesus and his followers to see how spiritual habits can help us "lift off" our spiritual growth.
