Jesus is the Lord of your life, with his unlimited offer of salvation, connection and joy.  He is the Creator of all things and the Redeemer of the world. But he is also your Savior, your friend and companion; he is your true ladder between earth and heaven. This reading plan explores the second Gospel. The persecution of Christians was on Mark's mind as he wrote this Gospel. Mark told the story of Jesus' life in ways that strengthened the faith of early Christians and encouraged them to persevere through suffering.

Mark uses the word “immediately” over forty times in his Gospel, emphasizing the intentional nature of Jesus’ ministry. The quick succession of healings and miracles shows that Jesus “came not to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many” (Mark 10:44). Through Mark’s Gospel, we are reminded that true greatness in God’s kingdom comes not through selfish ambition, but by being the servant of all.

This 20-day study examines the healing accounts of Jesus in the Gospel of Mark. How did He heal, who, when, why and what can you learn from Him?
