This Lasting Joy Comes When Youಮಾದರಿ

Moses’ Method of Finding Lasting Joy
“Moses refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh's daughter and chose to be ill-treated in company with God's people rather than to enjoy for a time the pleasures of sin" (Heb. 11:24–25). Moses chose wisely. He chose to give up the enjoyment of passing pleasures of sin (which is the type of sin in the Bible) to gain lasting joy which all of Egypt could not give him. Zophar correctly said that the joy of the godless is only but for a moment (Job 20:5).
"I'd rather have Jesus, than anything, this world offers to me," sang Jim Reeves. Let's sing that song with our life acts! I have experienced this joy I am writing about here. When I say 'no' to losing my cool, there is a surge of joy that comes into my soul. When I refuse to bow to peer pressure and swim against the tide alone toward Jesus and away from the world's ways, I get goose bumps that I have never experienced doing anything else. But on the other hand, when I bid Jesus goodbye and walk in the flesh, the pleasures of sin that I have enjoyed, I have discovered, are only for 'a short season'—they are fleeting, and they pass away soon. So, I am deciding right now to memorize Matthew 13:44 and live it! What about you?
