The Wisdom Of The Teacher For Today's College Students, Chapter Oneಮಾದರಿ

There is no meaning in life. Perhaps you’ve run across this on the campus where you attend classes. Sometimes we can get that idea from a glance at this verse in the book of the Teacher. Everything is like a vapor that appears for a moment and then is gone. Life is both brief and futile. That seems like a very depressing thought. And it could be if this life was all there was ever going to be. The theme of the book is the futility of the activities of the sons of men as we shall see later. You are not the first generation to struggle to find meaning and purpose in life. So right out of the gate the Teacher declares what we hate to whisper in our darker moments, that life is meaningless, totally and utterly meaningless. The rest of the book is going to be teaching us how we should approach this meaningless life. I’ll give you a hint, it involves trusting in the maker of heaven and earth! So, hang in there, the Teacher will not leave us in this dark place forever!
