GO2020 | ENGAGE: June Week 2- ABIDEಮಾದರಿ

June 11—What Disciples Need to Grow
Read
Colossians 1:9-10
Reflect
Paul could say with all honesty that he had never ceased to pray for the believers in Colossae. The disciples were his spiritual children, and he cared for them as a father would care for his physical children. His prayer for them was that they would be filled with the knowledge of God’s will for them, and that they would increase in spiritual wisdom and understanding. While we may not be able to see everything from God’s vantage point, we can have confidence that, as we get to know God and do his will, He will work out all things for our good, and we can be fully pleasing to Him and bear fruit.
Engage
Read today’s Scripture passage. Say or write it out in your own words, considering the following questions:
· What does it say about God?
· What does it say about us?
· Is there a promise to trust?
· Is there a command to obey?
· How will I apply this Scripture to my life?
· Who will I show that I care by sharing this truth?
Memorize
Now read this week’s memory verse, Jude 1:20. Spend a few minutes working to memorize it.

About this Plan

This week we will focus on how to encourage the growth of those who have responded positively during this season of evangelism and outreach. We must encourage them in their faith and help them to grow in Christ. God has given us a commission to make disciples who will also make disciples. We can trust God for guidance from the Holy Spirit and from his Word.
