Day 32 What Causes Division?
What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? You lust but do not have, so you kill. You are envious but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. James 4:1-3
In order for us to become one family in God, we must understand what is causing the break down of our unity. This division does not start with racism, but it does shed some light on the underlying issues that feed into racism.
ACTION: As you look at the Word of God above, can you see how division feeds racism? What, then, is our solution? How do we achieve unity and oneness?
PRAYER
Lord, today we pray for eyes to see and ears to hear. Please reveal how we may be causing division in Your family so that we can repent and turn towards unity instead. Please keep us from evil, in Jesus’s Name, Amen.
