Finding the Missing Peaceಮಾದರಿ

DAY 3 - Finding Contentment
I'm not a runner, but most of the time when I do find myself running, I'm usually in a state of panic, whether I’m running for the bus, running late to a meeting, or running to catch up with someone.
It makes me reflect on the times we can run. What are you running towards? What are you chasing? Is your mind running so far ahead into the future that you feel a lack of peace?
We can work ourselves up into a panic because we are afraid that we will miss out on an opportunity, or not have everything planned out.
Maybe there are people around us, in our neighbourhood, that are worried about not reaching their goals. We need to take the time to pause, look around us, live in the moment and be content with where we are.
We find contentment when we are able to thrive in any situation, regardless of the challenges we face. Paul writes in Philippians that the secret to a contented life is found in Christ who gives us strength.
When we are content with the season of life we are in, we will be filled with inner peace.
Questions:
(1) What keeps you from being content in this season?
(2) How can you develop more contentment in your daily life?
Prayer:
Lord, Thank you for who you are. I pray that you would stir my heart toward contentment in Jesus today. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
