An Authentic House

The word "authentic" can be defined as something that is real, certain, or true. An authentic person is sincere, both with himself, and with others.

Religion teaches us that God looks for rules and requirements, that He cares more about the exterior of man. But when we develop a relationship with Jesus, we realize that what actually matters is our heart, and that's what determines what we do. God has called The Church, you and me, to become authentic leaders. 

God calls us constantly to surrender our hearts, so with the help of His Holy Spirit we can become a reflection of Jesus on earth. We all need help; neither you nor I can live authentically without the help of the Holy Spirit. It is He who reveals to us who God is and who we are in God; He leads, guides, corrects, and strengthens us along the way.

I encourage you to say to God today: “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me." Let's continue, as a church, to live authentic lives, reflecting the love of Jesus, both in words and in actions.
