A Change of Heart
One beautiful thing about life with Christ is that His salvation is not just a one-time gift, but it's a whole new way of living. It permeates every part of our heart, mind, and life. His ways are better than ours. He offers full renewal to the hardened and heavy heart; the burned-out and burdened mind; the worn and weary spirit.
Life in Christ means we can leave behind our negativity and adopt His loving ways. I love the description in 1 John 4:7, that “whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.” Love is a hallmark of closeness to God; an imprint of His nature. What would it look like for your heart to show God’s heart and to reflect His love?
Surrender step: Ask God to melt any hardness in your heart today, and to fill your heart with His love. Meditate on Ezekiel 36:26.
