Abundant

Drew was ready for lunch, so he decided to make himself a sandwich. He went to the fridge, grabbed a slice of cheese, and slapped it between two pieces of bread. As he took a bite, he watched his brother make his sandwich as well. He started by spreading some mustard on a slice of bread, then he added a slice of cheese on each side. Next, he layered on several kinds of deli meat and a juicy slice of tomato. He ripped off a crunchy piece of lettuce and put it in the middle. He finished it off with some avocado slices and even added a piece of bacon that was left over from breakfast. As Drew finished his sandwich, he couldn’t help but wonder why he had settled for just cheese when there were all of those delicious options.

God has unlimited resources. He is a God of abundance. This means he has more than what is needed. He is not the kind of God who just does something part way. He has provided us with more blessings than are necessary. He doesn’t just want you to survive, he wants you to thrive and flourish in the life he has given you. You can expect big things from God.
