Shield of Faith

Sometimes unexpected challenges will come your way. They may be little things like an unkind word from someone or they may be more significant things like rejection or loss.

While your family’s hearts are protected by the breastplate of righteousness, sometimes you need an extra layer of protection. Ephesians warns of the flaming arrows that will come at us. When we hold up our shield of faith, we hold up the things that we know to be true about God. These create a shield to block the damage of the unexpected things that come our way.

Believing and having faith in who God is and His promises counteracts the attacks we face. As you pray for your family, you can gird them with the shield of faith that protects them.

Lord, I pray that my family would hold tight to their shield of faith. Remind them of the Truth and promises of who You are and the ways You take care of them. May their faith in You shield them from any flaming arrows that come their way. Amen
