On My Side

Psalm 91:14-16 “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.  He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.  With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation.”

Take a moment right now and speak to your heart and say, “You can trust God.”  There are moments in my life when I want to take back control.  I get scared or offended and I try to pull my heart back into my own hands.  But every time I do, I flounder.  I have come to know a love that I can depend on.  I humbly bring my heart back and remind myself that I can trust Him.  He is with us always, He knows our names, He sees everything about us, knows every thought, and He never stops loving us.  

I am so overwhelmed by God’s enduring love that goes before me and stands behind me, shielding me from a past that is covered in His blood.  He fights our battles and saves us from the things that try to pull us away.  He delivers us and protects us.  Trust Him today with your whole heart.
