Faith & Love: A One Year Bible Reading Plan - Part 10ಮಾದರಿ

It is easy to feel that we do not deserve to be saved by Jesus or to be called children of God. As we read through Titus chapter 3, we see that our works do not save us.
From today’s verse of the day, we learn three fundamental things that impact our daily lives:
1. We cannot earn our salvation.
We are not saved by our works, for if that were the case, then that would also mean that my works would be able to take away my salvation, and if that were the case, then every time I make a mistake, then I have to earn my salvation again. So, it is good news for us to know that our works are not what bring us salvation, for Jesus Christ alone can offer us salvation.
2. His mercy saves us
God loves us so much that He showed us mercy and sent His son to die for our sins and conquer death. We are now filled with the Holy Spirit and declared righteous through God's mercy, not through our works.
3. He saved us. The important thing to realize in this verse is that the verse is in the past tense, which means that He has already saved us. Nothing can take that away from those who believe in Him!
How would my daily life be impacted if I start my day by telling myself that nothing I do can earn or take away God’s love for me?
How would the world be different if we knew that God’s love is not something we must earn?
How many people do you know that need to hear that they are saved through God’s love and mercy?
