You’ve made the choice to follow Jesus! That’s amazing! Congrats! But now what? That’s what we are going to explore, what comes next after you choose to live your life sold out for the mission of Jesus!

How do we know what that looks like? Well, we can look to Scripture and see what God has to say about that.

A key passage in understanding what it looks like to truly follow Jesus is Matthew 28:19. This verse is called “The Great Commission” and it is considered to be Jesus’ last message to his disciples before he went to Heaven. It’s kind of a roadmap for Christians to follow in terms of how to spread the Gospel to people.

The Great Commission is broken up into a few parts that we will practically break down over the next few days.

The first part tells us to go and make disciples of all nations. Following Jesus means we are called to share Jesus with others.

Sometimes that can sound scary and intimidating, to share your faith with the people in your life. It doesn’t have to be! You can share your faith in SO many different ways. It can be asking in your family group chat how you can be praying for people. It can be putting a Bible verse that is important to you in your Instagram bio. It can be inviting the members of your sports team to come experience student ministry at your church.

You never know how a simple invitation can produce a life-changing moment in someone’s life!

God calls us to invite people from every tribe, tongue, and nation into His Kingdom. And by sharing our faith with the people around us, we are doing just that! Try it! You won’t regret it!
