Preparing for Battle

Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

Ephesians 6:11-12

Talk to God

Lord, I pray my husband will stand strong against all strategies of the Enemy. Make him a prayer warrior, clued in on the spiritual battles that need fighting. May he be intentional about putting on the armor of truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and Your Word. Remind him that the real fight isn’t against people but against evil. Keep him aware of the two enemies that work hard to defeat him: shame and rejection. May You destroy shame and rejection in his life and any stronghold they have over him. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Think

Shame and rejection tell us we aren’t enough or we aren’t loved. Do you struggle with these emotions in any way?
