Prayers for My Wifeಮಾದರಿ

Mark and Jill Savage's devotional provides specific reflections for husbands as they seek to grow in their love and care for their wife. See the Lord's hand in your marriage as you pray these prayers for your wife.
When She's Stressed
As for me, since I am poor and needy, let the Lord keep me in his thoughts. You are my helper and my savior. O my God, do not delay.
Psalm 40:17
Talk to God
Lord, my wife seems stressed today. It’s possible she is overwhelmed and worried. I know and trust that You are present and paying attention to her. Please soothe her stress and worries. Remind her that You are present in her life. Pour out Your peace upon her. Clear up her negative thoughts. Father, I know You are our helper—please help my wife today. Toss her a lifeline that helps her to think, feel, and believe that she is going to be okay and that You’ve got this. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Think
Ponder what might be weighing heavy on your wife’s heart today. Sometimes we’re so focused on our own world that we forget what someone else might be dealing with.
Take Action
Ask your wife, “What’s weighing heavy on your heart today?” Then make sure you listen. Don’t try to fix. Respond with empathy and validation by letting her know that you can only imagine how hard/frustrating/overwhelming the things she shares are to her. Ask her if there’s any way you can help her, and if she gives you a suggestion, do your best to follow through and make that happen right away.
