Day 1: Know Who You Are in Christ

Devotional:
Do you know your true identity? In a world that tries to define us by accomplishments, looks, or status, it’s easy to forget who we really are. But as believers, our identity is found in Christ. You are chosen, loved, redeemed, and set apart for His purpose. Just stop and take a look at your fingerprints. God cared so much about you that He ensured not even identical twins would have the same fingerprint. Did you know that? Each of us is uniquely imprinted with His mark on our lives.

Now imagine a priceless heirloom locked away in a dusty attic. Maybe something a grandparent left behind for you that has been tucked away in the storage of the attic for years. Its value doesn’t change, but it’s forgotten and unused. That’s how many of us live, forgetting that our worth is not based on our circumstances but on who God says we are.

Take time today to meditate on 1 Peter 2:9. Declare aloud, “I am God’s special possession.” Write down areas where you’ve been seeking identity in the world and ask God to remind you of your worth in Him.

What does it mean to you to be chosen by God? How can this truth shape your confidence?

Prayer Prompt:

Lord, I thank You that I am Your child, chosen and dearly loved. Remind me today that my identity is not found in my achievements, failures, or what others say about me, but in what You have declared: I am a royal priesthood, Your special possession. Help me to stand firm in this truth and walk in the confidence of who You have created me to be.
