A Marriage & Business Partnership Can Thrive!

Once we began working together, our intimacy, communication, and connection hit new levels. Ecclesiastes 4:9 reminds us, “Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor.” With God at the center of our work and marriage, we began to experience a deeper bond. We show more passion for each other, not only physically but spiritually, as we pray more and dream together.

We also have greater respect and appreciation for each other’s life experiences and past careers. As Proverbs 27:17 says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” Working together has allowed us to see how God used our individual journeys to prepare us for this shared purpose. The skills we picked up along the way now bless our business and deepen our respect for one another.

Our conversations have grown richer too. They’re no longer surface-level like, “How was your day?” Instead, we’re asking deeper questions like, “How did you feel when we…?” James 1:19 encourages us to be “quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry.” By listening deeply, our communication has enriched both our marriage and business, drawing us closer to the oneness God desires for us as a couple.

Finally, we’ve gained more quality time to refuel our passion, define our purpose, and grow in love. Psalm 90:12 says, “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” Time is precious, and working together has taught us to spend it meaningfully rather than letting life pull us in separate directions.

Working together has deepened our appreciation for marriage and allowed us to serve God as true partners. Like Priscilla and Aquila, we’ve seen how unity in purpose—whether in business, ministry, or daily life—can strengthen connection, communication, and intimacy. When God is at the center, marriage becomes more than a relationship—it becomes a powerful partnership that thrives in love, fulfills His purpose, and leaves a lasting impact.

Today’s Prayer:
"Lord, thank You for the blessing of partnership in marriage. Help us honor each other’s strengths, grow in communication, and align our dreams with Your purpose. May our marriage glorify You and fulfill the plans You have for us. Amen."
