God as Your Planmaker - Jeremiah 29:11ಮಾದರಿ

One of my ambitions is to write a book one day. It’s been on my heart for a long time, but I’ve never made the time to sit down and do it.

What about you? Which dreams, hopes, or desires fill your heart?

This week, we’ve been reflecting on the plans God has for us, based on His words from Jeremiah 29:11:

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

But did you know this verse also holds a beautiful promise for the plans and dreams you have for yourself? It is hidden in the word ‘hope’.

Sometimes, when studying a verse, it helps to read it in a few different translations; in the KJV, this verse reads as follows:

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," saith the LORD, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” –Jeremiah 29:11

God, in His plans, is mindful of what you hope for, dream and desire. He does not want to be a dictator deciding over every move of your life; He LOVES to give you the things you hope for, the “expected end” you desire.

Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him and He will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun. – Psalms 37:4-6

List your hopes, dreams and desires. Do you long for a partner? A job? A family? A ministry achievement? Talk to God about it! Lift that list to Him in prayer and share your heart with Him.
