From Acceptance to Approval: Living a Life That Pleases the Father

DAY 11 OF 30

THE POWER OF SEEING CORRECTLY

Revelation is the foundation upon which a strong Christian life is built. When John the Baptist saw the Spirit descending upon Jesus, it was a pivotal moment of divine revelation. Until that point, John only knew Jesus as a cousin, but through the revelation given by God, he recognised Him as the Lamb of God. Similarly, Matthew 3:16–17 captures the moment when heaven declared divine pleasure over Jesus — a testimony revealed not by flesh and blood, but by the Spirit. Without revelation, believers will continue to relate to divine things casually and miss critical opportunities to align with the Father's purpose.

Beloved, correct spiritual sight changes everything. Without revelation, your Bible remains just a book, the church becomes a routine, and your destiny looks like an accident. Revelation lifts you into the true meaning of your walk with God. Many people stumble at divine opportunities because they judge by natural sight rather than by revelation. You cannot please the Father without the ability to see correctly. Walking by faith begins with seeing by revelation — seeing what God sees, valuing what God values, and moving according to divine signals, not human calculations. This is how you grow beyond acceptance into the place of divine approval.

I want you to learn that your greatest prayer daily should be, "Lord, open my eyes to see!" Ask the Father to grant you personal encounters with His Word, His will, and His ways. Revelation turns your walk with God from struggle into delight. As John needed divine confirmation to identify Jesus, so you also need continuous revelation to navigate your journey of faith. Revelation empowers obedience, strengthens commitment, and fuels persistence. Press into God daily for eyes that see and hearts that perceive, for that is the pathway to a life that brings pleasure to the Father.

THOUGHT TO PONDER: Are you relating to God and spiritual things based on head knowledge or on divine revelation? What changes will you make to intentionally pursue deeper revelation after this devotional?

PRAYER: Dear Father, I ask for the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You. Open my eyes to see You clearly and to respond to Your leading with understanding. Help me to walk in revelation. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
