From Acceptance to Approval: Living a Life That Pleases the Father

DAY 25 OF 30

GOD TESTS BEFORE HE TRUSTS

Before God commits greater assignments into a man's hands, He first subjects him to divine testing. Genesis 22:1–2 shows us that God tested Abraham by asking him to sacrifice Isaac, the son of promise. James 1:2–4 teaches that the trying of our faith works patience, and patience must have its perfect work so that we may be perfect and entire, lacking nothing. Testing is not punishment; it is preparation. God uses tests to prove the quality of our faith, the depth of our obedience, and the purity of our devotion.

Beloved, never despise the seasons of divine testing. They are not signs of God's displeasure but His commitment to your growth and future usefulness. Abraham's willingness to offer Isaac opened the door for him to become the father of nations. Similarly, your willingness to pass through God's refining fire will prepare you for the weight of destiny you are called to carry. God will not entrust sacred things to unproven hearts. Faithfulness under testing is the bridge between acceptance and divine approval. Every test you endure faithfully becomes a stepping stone to greater trust, deeper intimacy, and higher assignments.

I want you to learn that divine tests often come quietly, disguised in everyday challenges, instructions, delays, and sacrifices. Your response determines your readiness for the next phase. As you walk through this devotional, embrace every test with joy, knowing that the Father is preparing you for more. Let patience have its perfect work. Trust the heart of the Father, even when you cannot trace His hand. Those who pass the tests of God rise to carry His treasures and walk in His pleasure.

THOUGHT TO PONDER: How do you respond to seasons of divine testing in your life? What changes can you make to embrace God’s tests with joy and faith, knowing they are preparing you for greater assignments?

PRAYER: Dear Father, thank You for loving me enough to test and prepare me for greater things. Help me to endure every test with faith, patience, and joy. Refine my heart and shape me into a vessel You can trust with Your treasures. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
