The Veil Removed:
If seeing God is possible, then an urgent question arises: what has been preventing us from seeing Him?
Eternity was always part of God’s design for humanity; however, sin fractured man’s awareness and perception, making him hyper-aware of himself and placing a veil between God and us. The reason it is difficult for us to see God, and even difficult to believe that it is possible, is because we interpret our lives through this veil. But this is not the portion of the children of God. The Word says that when someone turns to the Lord, the veil is removed, and because of this, we are able not only to see, but also to reflect the glory of the Lord, being transformed into His image.
Now we have a new way, with new eyes: the eyes of faith. And because of what we have received, we now testify of such good news. But I emphasize again: because of what we have received. If we reject God through our unbelief, caused by an excess of self-consciousness and a lack of the Holy Spirit, this same good news will remain hidden from us. The mind of the one who does not believe will be blinded.
Therefore, it is necessary to recognize our dependence when receiving these eyes of faith. It is God Himself who works in us both the desire and the ability to act. And when our way of seeing has been distorted for so long, learning to see correctly again can confront us. If, while reading this, you sense an invitation to see God in a way you have not yet experienced, immerse yourself in it. The depths of God call to the depths within you.
