JESUS, THE STORYTELLER
Jesus told stories as a way of telling people about God and God’s kingdom.
When Jesus finished the story about the travellers, he asked: “Who do you think was kind to the man who had been robbed and hurt?”
Read Luke chapter 10, verses 30 to 35 again, to remind you.
Was it the priest? What did he do?
Was it the temple worker? What did he do?
Was it the man on the donkey? What did he do?
One of the people who was listening to Jesus had an answer. Read verse 37 to see what he said.
What does Jesus say in reply?
Do you remember why Jesus told stories? What does this story tell you about God and about God’s kingdom?
Why not chat with a friend about it and see what they think, too?
Pray. Ask God to help you to be ready to help and be kind to others, whenever you can.

About this Plan
Wherever Jesus went, people came to hear what he had to say about God and God's kingdom. They loved the way he taught. Instead of long speeches, he often just told stories. This three-day plan is about one of the stories he told about a man who is travelling but his journey goes very wrong! The plan complements the free children’s game app Guardians of Ancora .
