Hebrews: A 28-Day Musical DevotionalSample

Take Care, Pt. 2
Having reached the zenith of the letter, we begin to descend the mountain (or mountains) and enter the closing scene of the drama. The first nineteen verses of chapter 13 are final exhortations to the readers, all of which flow from the first directive: let brotherly love continue. The author reminds them to look out for marginalized believers in their community; he warns of the dangers of sexual immorality and greed; and he charges them to obey their leaders. In short, he tells them,
“Take care how you live your life;
There may be a heart that’s deceived by sin
Deep within your soul,
So you better be careful.”
