Stories Of ArtSample

How much are you willing to pay for one painting? How much is it allowed to cost you? On 15th November 2017 Mohammed bin Salman al-Saud payed 450,312,500 US-Dollar for the painting "Salvator Mundi". So now this is the most expensive painting of the world. By paying this much Mohammed bin Salman drew a lot of attention, especially because there is no relation. It was asked, why someone would pay this much for just one painting. It isn't even the "Mona Lisa". Art historians state that Mohammed just wanted to show what he can do. What does a Muslim want with a picture of Jesus anyway?
The painting shows Jesus from the front, one hand in a blessing gesture and He is holding a crystal ball in the other. Today it's discussed if Leonardo da Vinci actually made it or not.
Translated the title says: "Saviour of the world".
Who is Jesus? Who is Jesus to me personally? Is He an art trophy, which I need to get? Even the disciples were asked who Jesus is to them. Jesus wants to be more than a miracle healer and good speaker. He wants to save the world: He wants to renew my broken relationship with God.
How much is Jesus, who wants to save me, worth to me?
