Trusting God: A Prayer JourneySample

Barriers to trust
God requires us ‘to act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly’ with him. Let go of any pride – it blocks trust.
Many of us struggle with not having life under our control; we resist being 'in the dark' as to what the future will bring. And so we have our plan for the next year, our ten-year vision, our insurance schemes, etc., and trust in our ability to make them happen. Is it wrong to make plans? No, but trusting our plan rather than God puts us on shaky ground. None of us knows what tomorrow will bring, so to trust will mean letting go of our illusion of control.
