SOAP: James 1:22-23

As we approach the end of our study, we have looked at many key passages of Scripture that discuss how to help us in times of fear and anxiety. We have spent weeks reflecting on God’s Word and proclaiming His promises. Yet, if we do not heed His Word, our efforts were in vain.

The Bible discusses the importance of putting our faith into action. If we only listen to what God says and do not do it, there is no life-change. If we practice what we learn, we experience God’s blessings. We begin to grow in our relationship with Christ and change in our understanding. We start to experience peace.

Acting on God’s Word takes faith, but the Lord has equipped us to take the first step. He is with us the entire time. He guides the way.

What step of faith do you need to take? You might be afraid to move in faith, but God’s peace will be with you as you take your next steps, in faith. 

Father God, give me the courage to walk in faith and trust You. Give me Your peace as I trust in You for Your plans. Guard my heart. Help me be more than a hearer of Your Word. Give me the strength I need to take the next step. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
