ReBuild: 10 Ways Worship And Leadership Can Restore Broken Lives

DAY 8 OF 10

Something happens when we exalt God through worship. By proclaiming who God is, how big He is, how powerful and loving and majestic, the hard, hopeless places in our hearts begin to crumble. Where we once believed we were poor, we instead begin to realize that the possession of a faith in an endlessly eternal God makes us wealthy beyond measure. Worship calls attention to a God who always provides for our needs.

The people of Israel that Isaiah addressed were on the verge of intense poverty and oppression. Isaiah’s prophecy about their eventual redemption indicates the wealth and abundance that was to come hand in hand with that redemption. The people wouldn’t even need to do their own labor—they could contract labor from other countries with their wealth. Beyond their physical prosperity, the passage indicates that their redemption was spiritual, too.

Worship is a reminder of our true wealth. Let your worship today lift up a God whose abundance is immeasurable. When your attention is directed toward His greatness, your lack seems nonexistent.

About this Plan

ReBuild: 10 Ways Worship And Leadership Can Restore Broken Lives

In times of loss, chaos, and brokenness, God is looking for leaders and worshippers who can look beyond a situation and work alongside Him as he restores hearts, families, and nations. ReBuild is a 10-day look at the call God has placed on your life as a leader and how you can engage with Him to bring restoration to destruction, healing to sickness, and joy for mourning.
