The spiritual forces of darkness in this world will do everything in their power to take over God’s place in your life.
Their desire is for you to desire someone or something that isn’t God.
At the heart of the Christian spiritual journey, is a fight to keep God at the forefront of our worship and all that we are. The best place to take up our defense and come against this spiritual force that seeks to change our hearts is to put on the full armor of God.
If we’re not equipped for this fight, we’re left defenseless. Thankfully, God gives us the equipment so we can face these spiritual forces head on.
Ephesians 6 lays out what this equipment is (which we’ll cover in detail tomorrow).
The author of Ephesians notes that this armor is not our own – it’s God’s armor. It’s His power that equips us for the spiritual battle ahead.
