Do you ever ‘go with the flow’? Do you simply go along with others, for an easy time?
Read Mark chapter 15, verses 6 to 15, if you haven’t already done so.
Jesus has been arrested and his enemies have handed him over to Pilate, the Roman governor.
There was a custom of giving the local people, the Jews, a favour each year. When did that happen?
How did Pilate want to behave? How did he behave? Why do you think he did that?
The people shouted for Barabbas. What sort of man was he? Why did the crowd ask for Barabbas instead of Jesus?
How did the chief priests feel about Jesus? How did the chief priests stir up the crowd? Why did they do that? (Look again at verse 10, if you’re not sure.)
Pray. Does this story make sense to you? Ask Jesus to help you understand more about living his way.
