Compelled by love

In today’s reading, we are reminded that restoration of relationship with God is the greatest gift we are able to give. It is not that we are able to restore that relationship for anyone, but we are able to point them toward the cross of Christ, where He has made restoration. As much as we can, and should, demonstrate love in a variety of ways, true God-inspired love will always be aware of eternity. It is because of the love in our hearts that we are compelled to carry the Good News of Jesus to those who have not yet embraced it.

Prayer response:

1. Pray that God would stir in you a renewed awareness of eternity and what it means to be reconciled to God.
2. Pray for those around you who have not yet been reconciled to God that they would hear, and embrace, the Good News of Jesus.
3. Commit in your heart to being a carrier, an ambassador, of God’s message of reconciliation.
