From Slump To Jump

DAY 5 OF 7

Sensitive To God's Leading

Do you sometimes wonder about missed opportunities? Most of us live life at a very fast pace. We manage our time between work, school, church and families. Add to that taking care of our home, the need for exercise and time with friends. That is an exhausting list! With such busy lives, how can you be sensitive to take a step in an unexpected direction? Debbie McGoldrick had an experience that taught her how to better listen for God's voice.

Listen to Debbie

Would you like to have God prompt you in this way? It starts with prayer and reading the Bible. It is there that God often guides us to the right words that push us into action. But it often moves beyond listening - into taking steps of faith that are initially uncomfortable. Try to be sensitive to God's leading in your life. You never know how God might use you to encourage people.

About this Plan

From Slump To Jump

In the New York Times best-selling book When , author Daniel Pink says, “When we reach a mid-point, sometimes we slump but other times we jump. A mental siren reminds us that we have squandered half our time.” Our prayer is that you have “invested” the first half of your year well. But whether you would like some encouragement to power through the second half or need a bit of motivation to beat a slump, we offer this seven-day challenge. Each day contains a short audio message (1-2 minutes).
