Think about the last time you had an argument or conflict with someone. How did it make you feel? Probably pretty lousy! That pain comes from breaking something that was meant to be whole. Just like when a piece of paper is ripped and jagged edges remain, when relationships are torn, we experience those same sharp edges in our hearts as a result. The good news is, as God’s children, it doesn’t have to be this way. We have the power within us to live as one with our brothers and sisters in Christ, regardless of our disagreements or differences. Work to memorize this verse this week as a reminder of how important it is to live in unity with others.
