Your Plans Are To Prosper

Sometimes, while we’re in the midst of struggle, people will try and encourage us. This well-intentioned encouragement can often result in feelings of discouragement rather than encouragement. Have you ever had someone say to you, while you’re in the midst of a difficult season, “don’t worry, God has everything in His control”?

So wait a minute, did God plan this miserable time for me?

That couldn’t be further from the truth. Though God is in full control, we live in an imperfect world where people are given free will. Sometimes that means sorrow and pain will come our way. God’s word tells us that His plan is not to give us sorrow and pain, but to prosper us, to give us hope, and to lead us through storms. In the midst of these trials we can hold on to God, for His plans are to uphold us in the toughest of days.

God loves you and has a plan for your life. Because of this there is always hope. Even in difficult times we can trust God’s love and plan.
