7 Stages Of Grief After MiscarriageSample
When I was pregnant with the baby I lost in miscarriage 3, my doctor knew early on that our baby was struggling to survive. For one week, my husband and I didn’t know if our baby would live. During that week, we prayed nonstop. I had never begged God for anything in my entire life like I did for that baby. I began making bargains with God, offering to do radical things if it meant we could keep our baby.
I know God heard our prayers, but His answer was no, so that His purpose could be put into motion. You see, had He allowed me to keep the babies I lost in miscarriage, I never would have written a single miscarriage reading plan. My husband and I never would have said yes to adopting three teenage sons from Haiti.
In the midst of my grief after each miscarriage, I didn’t want to hear what might come from my heartache. I wanted my baby back and nothing else mattered.
With time, my heart began to soften to what God was trying to teach me during my back to back miscarriages. The road to healing was not easy, but God never left me. Together we walked hand in hand after each loss, and on the days where I could not walk, He carried me. God wants to do the same for you if only you will allow Him.
In Psalms 116, we find King David in the depths of despair, overwhelmed with fear and sorrow. While King David was pouring his heart out to God he began to recall the character and compassion of his God, which immediately brought him comfort and confidence.
God alone is responsible for crafting every human life that has been or ever will be. Even though your lost baby never took their first breath, he or she was uniquely and beautifully made by the Creator Himself.
When I read verse 15 in this passage, God whispered this truth directly into my hurting heart: Not a single human life ends without Him noticing because He cares deeply about every life. Human life is precious to our Father!
As you grieve for your lost baby, I hope you know that your Heavenly Daddy notices and cares very deeply about your heartache. You are not alone; your God has promised He will never leave you. You can trust Him with your heart and He wants you to give Him all the pain and grief you are carrying inside.

About this Plan
The heartache that follows a miscarriage has the potential to draw us closer to God or away from Him. Our enemy, Satan, wants to take our raw emotions and lure us as far from God as he possibly can. Only God can offer the peace and healing our hearts desire. This plan will identify the seven stages of grief and guide women to find true healing within God’s Word.
