Do Not Envy the Wicked

Sin is everywhere, and nothing good comes from choosing sin over Christ. The Bible makes that very evident. If we continually surround ourselves with the sinful things of the world, we will start to become more like it. We must not let ourselves become hardened to the wicked things in the world. Our hearts need to be nourished by the Word daily. This is the only way our desires can have hope to be aligned with those of Christ.

To fight against envying the evil things of the world, we must focus on the righteous things found in the Scriptures. When we study and meditate on the Word, we are equipped to battle these dark forces. Don’t envy the wicked because they will be put out. That is the hope they have…one that leads to death. Yet, our hope for the pursuit of being holy women is Christ. He alone can transform our desires, and He alone is our reason to set aside foolishness and plead for wisdom. A wise woman is full of strength, and this strength comes from God. There is a great reward for those who diligently seek Him and His ways.
