Footholds

I grew up in the country, so I've always loved being outside! There is something about God's creation that brings me joy and peace. Even when I'm inside my house I watch a lot of ridiculous nature survival shows. One of the things that still blows me away is watching people climb up rock walls—they take their time searching for the right foothold. With full concentration they search for the perfect path that is designed specifically for their strengths. While my yelling from the couch doesn't help them, there is usually a person nearby them that helps guide them. When you're above the clouds you get to be that person! You get to witness others overcome mountains. It's easy for us to get lost in the view above the clouds, but we receive more joy in helping others climb through the clouds.

Focus: I love celebrating! I try to fully embrace that Jesus has given us life and calls us to live it to the fullest, for His glory. Today, celebrate the victory you have overcome! However, don't spend so much time celebrating that you miss an opportunity to help your neighbor. Think of someone in your life that you may have recently overlooked. It may be someone who looks fine on the outside. Pray for them, think of a way to serve them, love on them, and serve them no matter the season they're in.
