Learning The Lessons Of LamentSample

I’m okay with acknowledging that I don’t always feel the presence of God. Sometimes I struggle to see any evidence of him. But a long time ago I chose to believe in the presence of a good God who loves me and accepts me—questions, doubts, anger, confusion and all. I choose to believe in a God who will never forget me and is faithful to me, no matter what. There are seasons in our lives when it isn’t easy to trust that God has his face turned toward us. But I choose to believe it anyway. With that choice comes acceptance, comfort, and peace. Alas, it doesn’t always change the circumstances we are desperate to have changed, but it does bring hope—and that is priceless!
Question: What season of life are you living through now? Is it easy to trust that God is with you, or is it a struggle? What will you choose to believe despite your circumstances?

About this Plan

Jesus said, “In this world we will have trouble.” Chaos, sorrow, confusion and death are very much a part of our earthly experience. At some stage of our lives, it’s likely that we are going to experience deep physical, emotional, mental or spiritual pain. We will know pain of our own, the pain of our family and friends, and the pain of this world.
