Savior: The Promise FulfilledSample
To Allow us to See the Word Becoming Flesh
When we read Genesis 1:1 we see Elohim in action. The plural of this name of God shows us that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit were present in the very moment of the creation of the world.
In today´s verses, John says the same thing: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” This is one of the most beautiful sentences I've ever read. The Word was God. Jesus is God. And still, the Word became flesh. That's what we celebrate in Christmas.
Jesus was the light and the life. In Him and through Him everything was created. Jesus was born as a baby because He chose to dwell among us and give us the opportunity to be saved. His light shone in our hearts and took the darkness out.
How much is Jesus’ light shining through you? How much of Jesus can people see in you?
Mini challenge: What is your definition of “glory?” Write down how YOU define it, and then look up what it really means. Think of practical ways you can give glory to God.

About this Plan
Christmas can be an overwhelming season. We try to feel the joy of the celebration, but our long to-do lists and packed schedules often leave us exhausted and we crawl to Christmas Eve trying to survive until the 26th. In the middle of our very busy days, it's easy to forget what we really celebrate at Christmas: We celebrate Jesus. We celebrate His coming.
