When we receive Christ (John 3:16), we accept salvation and rejoice that we are saved. However salvation does not just mean being saved from the consequences of sin but total salvation encompasses everything that is good and perfect based on God’s Word. The Bible says in James 1:17, Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
