Joy To Your World - Children's Advent DevotionalSample
During the Christmas season, most congregations will sing “Joy to the world, the Lord is come. Let earth receive her king.” Your joy will be a gift to bring to your Savior in honor of His birth. Jesus said that He wanted His joy to be ours so that our joy would be complete (John 15:11). God has always had a plan for this life and for your eternal life. That is why Jesus was born.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). Salvation was God’s Christmas gift to us. No other gift will ever compare to His.
When you worship, wherever you are, remember that Jesus is near. Isaiah wrote that we should “shout and sing for joy” because the Holy One is in our midst. Have you ever realized that if you could see what God sees, you would see His angels and His Son right there in the room with you?
According to Scripture, Jesus is with us when we worship. As you worship, think about that. Then give Him the best birthday gift possible. Give Him your heart and life as you worship Jesus, your Lord and king.

About this Plan
Joy To Your World is written to help your children see the Christmas story through the eyes of those who were present to witness the first century miracles surrounding the Messiah’s birth. Each day provides biblical truth that will offer encouragement about the power and purpose of Christmas joy and sharing that joy with others.
