What do you like best about Christmas? It’s great that we can celebrate, eat lovely food and give each other presents. But sometimes it’s easy to forget that Christmas is Jesus’ birthday!
Read Luke, chapter 2, verses 16 to 20, if you haven’t already done so.
This rap will help you remember the real reason for Christmas. Can you learn it off by heart. As you speak, stress the words that are underlined and speak with a beat. Once you are used to the words, try clicking your fingers as you say it.
From heaven to earth the Saviour came,
Born to Mary, and Jesus was his name.
Now it is true we can all be God’s friends,
Be there with him in heaven in a life that never ends.
Pray. Ask Jesus to help you remember him this Christmas.

About this Plan
This three day plan takes Ancora Kids to a hillside near Bethlehem where they find some shepherds looking after their sheep. In Bible times, shepherds were not always trusted or seen as important.
