21 Prayers Every Christain Should PraySample
DAY SIXTEEN – “SHAPE ME”
Today’s Scripture Reading: Jeremiah 18:1-6, 2 Corinthians 3:18
The Christian life is a life of constant change. God is at work in our lives, molding and shaping us just as a potter takes a lump of clay and turns it into a piece of art. And, just as the potter needs to have clay that is pliable and workable, we need to be yielded to the changes that God wants to make in our lives, trusting that He knows what’s best for us.
The goal for every Christ-follower is to be like Jesus. Our actions, our words, even our attitudes and motivations are to increasingly become more and more like the One we love. This transformation is a process. It takes a lot of time and a lot of grace. The Apostle Paul described it this way in 2 Corinthians 3:18, “(We) are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”
So, our prayer today is, “Lord, I want to be like clay in your hands. I trust you to do whatever you need to do to make me more like Jesus.”
