Experiencing Nearness To God Sample

Experiencing Nearness To God

DAY 2 OF 3

It is not just a need, it's our deepest need as human beings, to learn to live in the presence of God. Jesus, made to walk with Him. Back at the beginning of the glorious story, before the fall of man, before the world was spinning 67,000 mph on Jesus, Jesus, axis - there was a beautiful place called Eden. The first man and woman who ever walked the planet dwelled there. They enjoyed God.

They walked with Him. They talked with Him. Honestly, He enjoyed them much more than they enjoyed Him.

For God's presencehas healing we were made. And we must return to Him

Run to Jesus, not Social Media.
Run to Jesus, not money seeking.
Run to Jesus, not status seeking.
Run to Jesus, not cheap sex.
Run to Jesus, not drugs.
Run to Jesus, not alcohol.

Run to God because He has healing, acceptance, security, identity and purpose in His presence.

In the midst of so many distractions and deceitful desires, it is important to remain sensitive to the Spirit of God. It can be so easy to miss out on the beauty of total satisfaction that only comes from our loving Heavenly Father. We have all fell drained due to the results of vain pursuits in our lives. Celebrating about things God hates and Jesus, the things God loves. We are all guilty of it. But I can promise you, if you commit yourself to Jesus, and practicing God's presence today, you will be so blessed for it.

God is never far from you. His presence is with you always, in all ways. He longs to make himself known. Simply rest in the truth of his nearness and allow him to reveal himself to you today.

Day 1Day 3

About this Plan

Experiencing Nearness To God

God longs that we would know the basics of quality time alone with Him, we’re going to take 3 days leaning into the presence of God. As crazy as it may sound, God’s presence is meant to be a continual dwelling place of all our lives. I'm excited to see how he fills our lives as we set aside time for Him through this devotional.
