It’s Personal

This deployment is personal. After all, it’s about you, your family, your time, your sacrifice. What happens during this time will be your legacy—your story.

Our God is personal. Scripture says He knows us and loves us. “I have loved you with an everlasting love” (Jeremiah 31:3). Luke 12:7 says “even the hairs of your head are all numbered.”

So He cares about you during this deployment because:

His love is personal. “The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love” (Psalm 103:8).

His provision is personal. “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want” (Psalm 23:1).

His salvation is personal. “. . . if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved” (Romans 10:9-10).

His comfort is personal. “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God” (2 Corinthians 1:3-4).

His grace is personal. “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9).

His peace is personal. “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid” (John 14:27).

Go to God with your personal concerns about this deployment. He knows you and loves you—personally.
